About Us

Welcome to the website of the Iran Resistance Museum, a unique and living tribute to over 120 years of relentless struggle by the Iranian people against tyranny. This museum, located in Ashraf 3, Albania—the home of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK)—is not just a repository of history but a beacon of courage, sacrifice, and resilience.
Our mission is to preserve and showcase the rich history of the Iranian Resistance, offering visitors a profound understanding of the sacrifices made for freedom and democracy. Through powerful exhibits and firsthand accounts, we aim to inspire global audiences and connect them to the enduring spirit of those who gave everything for a free Iran.

A Living Museum

Unlike traditional museums, the Iran Resistance Museum is a living Museum. Visitors are not only presented with photographs, documents, and artifacts but also have the opportunity to meet survivors who lived through the events chronicled here. These witnesses of history provide a direct, personal connection to the moments that shaped Iran’s ongoing struggle for justice and liberty.

Honoring the Martyrs

Central to the museum’s narrative is the commemoration of 120,000 martyrs who gave their lives in the fight against oppression. These brave souls—from students and teachers to professionals and young activists—represent the breadth and depth of resistance across Iran. The museum highlights their stories, ensuring their sacrifices are remembered and their dreams of freedom remain alive.

The 1988 Massacre

One of the museum’s most poignant sections is dedicated to the 1988 Massacre, during which over 30,000 political prisoners, primarily PMOI/MEK members and supporters, were brutally executed on the orders of Ayatollah Khomeini. Here, visitors can explore documents, survivor testimonies, and a reconstructed model of the infamous “death corridor” of Gohardasht Prison, offering a chilling glimpse into one of Iran’s darkest chapters.
